Accounting Manager

You Will:

  • Manage the daily operations of the department including all its functions including payroll, cash management and financial reporting
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze and investigating major variances, highlighting key trends and asking questions as appropriate where additional information is required.
  • Ensure closing accounting period on time
  • Prepare accurate and timely reporting of accounting and financial information
  • Assist Finance Manager to setting up financial calendar and developing, documenting and implementing the Accounting Policies
  • Maintain and update Chart of accounts to align with business operation
  • Supporting Finance manager to develop budget planning, monitoring and approve on process.
  • Ensure compliance to relevant statutory requirements and accounting standards
  • Assist tax manager in ensuring tax compliance
  • Enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles through SOPs
  • Continually review work practices and procedures for better operational efficiency; proactively raise management attention to problems and resolutions in financial processes and controls
  • Manage and motivate the accounting team members and encourage them to progress and develop their skills and provide appropriate training when needed
  • Manage team personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
  • Support management with special projects and workflow process improvements and internal control assessment
  • Coordinate external financial audits
  • Build close working relationship with other business functions to provide technical advice on accounting issues
  • Help management with company-wide strategic planning
  • Other tasks as assigned by manager.

What you have:

  • At least 5 years of experience as Accounting Supervisor, Assistant Accounting Manager etc.
  • Complete or pursue ACCA is much preferred
  • Experience with big 4 is a plus
  • Knowledge related to ERP software, QuickBooks, etc.
  • Knowledge related to operation of real estate industry
  • Numerical, accurate and analytical
  • Details oriented and organizational skills
  • Leadership, confident and strong presentation skill
  • Creative, self-motivated and result driven
  • Work well both independently and as a team
  • Good communication skill
  • Able to work under pressure
