Assistant Manager – Learning & Development

Job Objectives:
The objective of this role is to ensure the following for all Urbanland and the entities it supports:

  • Build future leaders

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take lead in conducting training needs analysis and working with key stakeholders to understand critical development needs of teams
  • Manage and monitor training and development budget/costs to optimize usage of budget against development strategies
  • Partner with departments to identify training needs and deliver training programs and other organizational and leadership development initiatives
  • Lead the execution of the training calander, regularly reviewing that training needs fit with business and team needs including post training evaluations
  • Manage performance review cycle, activities (such as communication/briefings, self and manager review, calibration discussions, performance improvement process)
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with external vendors/trainers as part of maintaining sustainability of services provided
  • Monitor and conduct learning and development reviews Prepare and maintain training reports (feedback) on a regular basis
  • Arrange and lead exit interviews and report the response of the resigned employees to develop work environment and to achieve better employee engagement and retention
  • Draft policies communications in both English and Khmer on organizational development initiatives, personnel movements, events as required
  • Manage Conflict of Interest declarations by ensuring timely declarations and potential conflicts are minimized on a timely basis
  • Update and monitor organizational development and filing including organizational charts, learning and development records and materials

Adhoc activities as required

Job Requirements:

  • Good interpersonal skills and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure, on their own and in teams
  • Committed to delivering high level of customer service, both internally and externally
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Exposure to project management/coordination projects
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management
  • At least 4 years experience in Learning & Development
  • Build and maintain relations with key stakeholders and most levels
  • A self-starter and ability to learn new things
  • Ability to use complex data to translate into meaningful analysis
  • Written and spoken communication skills in English and Khmer
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products eg Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerp’t
