Manager - Construction

Job Objectives:

The candidate is responsible for overseeing construction project, Duties may include creating construction schedules, with proper sequence of works and construction methods, manage construction progress and quality, control all construction materials, and reporting construction progress on weekly and monthly basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create the construction schedules to meet the requirements of the project timelines.
  • Manage the construction progress to meet the schedule, and provide catch-up plan in case construction progress is delayed.
  • Deliver the project on time with quality.
  • Advise and manage the sequence of works and construction method.
  • Assure the site safety, security, and housekeeping.
  • Manage the site boundary after taking over from Acquisition team, and manage the property within the site boundary.
  • Oversee and provide direction to site engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the quality standards are met.
  • Prepare preventive actions or strategies to mitigate risks and response to any problems at construction site on time when needed.
  • Prepare and report the construction progress to Project Manager on weekly and monthly basis.
  • Work closely with Technical Manager regarding project quality and progress.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by Project Manager or Project Director.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in architecture, civil engineering or other related fields.
  • Minimum 05 years of experiences as Construction Manager in construction.
  • Proven good experience working in construction site with any type of construction models.
  • Ability to manage different kinds of subcontractors, labours, and suppliers to follow the schedule with quality.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of building and construction.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solving and initiative.
  • English language.
