Manager - Technical

Job Objectives:

The candidate is responsible for managing the design process, VE and cost saving, and providing solutions to construction issues on site.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage all the consultants and specialists during design stage.
  • Advise on VE and cost saving during design stage and tendering stage.
  • Provide solutions to construction issues on site.
  • Manage and issue shop drawings, method statements, material selection.
  • Conduct QA/QC to ensure the quality of construction to meet the specifications and requirements.
  • Manage the design changes to ensure the construction is built following the most updated drawings.
  • Perform site visits to active construction site and participate in weekly and monthly site meetings.
  • Work closely with Construction Manager regarding project quality and progress.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Marketing teams to provide necessary construction documents for sales and marketing purposes.
  • Coordinate with Legal team to provide necessary construction documents for permit applications.
  • Coordinate with QS team to achieve necessary cost saving during the construction stage.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by Project Manager or Project Director.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Project Management, Architecture, Civil/Structural engineering or other related fields.
  • Minimum 05 years of experiences as Technical Manager in construction.
  • Minimum 03 years of experiences in building design is preferred.
  • Proven good experience working in construction site with any type of construction models.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
  • Ability to produce shop drawings and method statements for construction.
  • Ability to solve the technical issues and design issues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of building and construction.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solving and initiative.
  • English language.
