Technical Officer



Job Objectives:

The Technical Officer ensures smooth operation of our facilities, machinery, and equipment, and assists with general building and event operations. This role involves a variety of tasks including technical support, handyman services, and event support. You will not only maintain the aesthetic appeal of our building but also ensure its functionality.

Job Descriptions:

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and machinery, ensuring they comply with safety regulations and operate efficiently.
  • Execute minor repair and maintenance tasks that do not require a specialised technician. This includes repairing drywall, painting, fixing lighting fixtures, doors, windows and other building elements.
  • Support building management with technical duties, including addressing electrical and plumbing issues to recommend constructive solutions.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and propose solutions for technical, electrical, and mechanical issues related to the installation, maintenance, and configuration of internet and CCTV systems.
  • Regularly inspect the facility and equipment, and notify building management of any deficiencies or repair needs.
  • Assist in managing car and motorbike parking areas, and oversee security performance at assigned posts.
  • Conduct basic landscaping duties such as watering plants, trimming trees, managing weed control, and raking leaves as per schedule or as assigned.
  • Monitor tenant, contractor, and event client loading, ensuring safety and security of people and assets.
  • Assist the facilities team with setup and technical troubleshooting for events.
  • Oversee and monitor the work of contractors and suppliers during maintenance, repair, or fit-outs on the project; escalate any potential issues to building management.
  • Foster a friendly environment for tenants, team, and contractors and address their concerns promptly.
  • Carry out any other duties related to building maintenance and support as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Graduation from a vocational training institution or other related fields
  • 2 years of proven experience in electrical repair and installation
  • Knowledge of electrical requirements, voltage and amperage requirements, as well as electrical testing and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong work ethic, patience, and self-discipline
  • Good teamwork and communication with team members, service-oriented mindset
  • Strong time management and results-oriented approach to jobs
  • Must pass a full background check to be certified prior to employment.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
